Welcome

At Shape Learning, we're tackling two big challenges in our community: helping kids who just don't fit the traditional school system and creating real employment opportunities for youth.

We want to change that. We've seen the life-changing impact of our flagship project, the Rondevlei Learning Centre, and now we're ready to build on that success, grounded in our three core pillars: Educate, Explore, and Inspire.

For kids struggling in mainstream schools, we provide a different way of learning - one that meets them where they are and helps them grow at their own pace in an enjoyable and engaging way. And for our youth facing unemployment, we're all about practical skills in permaculture and food sustainability. We're teaching them how to become selfsufficient while caring for our environment.

Working hand-in-hand with our communities and like-minded partners, we're creating spaces where learning feels natural and meaningful. It's not about fitting into a box - it's about empowering young people to find their own path to thrive.

We call it "Learn to Thrive" because that's exactly what it is - giving our children and youth the tools, confidence and support they need to build better lives, one step at a time.

Some title

The journey to transform the unused buildings into the Rondevlei Learning Centre was nothing short of miraculous. It was a testament to the power of community, the generosity of the Anglican Church in providing the space, and the impact of a shared vision.

On Mandela Day in 2018, more than 85 volunteers of all ages came together to revitalise the property. They arrived armed with tools, paint, high spirits, and an unshakable determination to make a difference. The air buzzed with energy as weeds were cleared, walls were scrubbed, and fresh paint breathed new life into the classrooms.
